It's been a while. I know. I'm a slacker.
So here is what has gone down since June.
July
Girls Camp! It was pretty fun :) I had two wonderful Beehives in my room with the fabulous Janessa James, who wouldn't stop talking one night. It was funny :)
August
EFY! I met the most amazing people. I'm so glad I spent that week with Lizzie Haws. I have made friendships that will last a long time.
Band Camp down in Delta is an experience I will NEVER forget. Fruit breaks, being woken up by various brass instruments, "Water we doing next?", HOT sun, winning the spirit stick. The list just goes on and on. I love band camp, don't get me wrong, but I'm glad I only have one more year that I actually have to come.
September
School starts. Hooray for Junior year! I switch lunch groups to sit with all my nerdy band friends. Not much, except for homework and band practice.
October
June Marching Band competitions start! "Shades of Conflict". Dark, eh? We take first in every show, except for at BYU where we took 2nd to Davis High School. I really like their show. Except that their music just gets stuck in your head! It never goes away! Good thing that it's catchy.
We took first (I believe) at Red Rocks down in St. George and second at regions (BOA). Don't quote me on that. If you really want to know, you'll call an actual band nerd.
November
Hmm... I don't recall anything special happening. Except that I made OPEN GUARD IN MY SECOND SEASON! Woot! And I made rifle line, but everyone spins weapon so it's really not that impressive I suppose.
December
Practicing for Rose Parade. Marching many, many, many, long practice parades. Going to the Rose Parade. Everyone in the entire band making it to the very end! Meeting the band from Japan (it only had like 7 boys in the entire thing! It used to be an all girls school). Finding out Gage Jensen likes me and holding his hand at Disneyland. Band tour was amazing :) So we got together on January 4, 2012.
January- Now
It's all been a blur. Competitions, dates, homework, deadlines. It's been pretty stressful, but I'm getting through it. I'm going to try out for Flag Captain for field season. I'm hoping I'll make it. Fingers crossed. The term ended two days ago, so I'm pretty sure I'm going to make it through Junior year. :)
HUNGER GAMES. Okay ladies, Josh has been mine since "Little Manhattan". Back off. Who has an autographed picture and poster of him in their room? That would be me. You guys can have Peeta, there are plenty of fictional boys to go around, but Joshua Ryan Hutcherson is mine.
